Keeping Up

by Adrian on May 7, 2009

To maintain a competitive advantage in any profession it’s vital to keep up to date with the latest news. Nowhere is this truer than in the software industry, where Moore’s Law has traditionally fuelled exponential rates of innovation. In recent years these have combined with the emergence of the internet to create a truly global marketplace for software; making it more important than ever that we keep up to date.

In the pre-internet world keeping up to date normally involved reading books and magazines and attending conferences and courses. Today whilst these are obviously still available, there are so many more ways to stay in touch. Over the next few posts I’ll be looking at some of the options that I’ve found particularly useful.
